Values, Behaviours and Person-Centred Practice
This learning resource has been designed specifically for social care workers to support you to understand the values and behaviours required to work in the social care sector and the importance of using a person-centred approach in your day to day practice. This includes when people are moving into a care setting or between care services.
The content for this resource was initially developed as part of the module 1 of the Adult Care Toolkit – Standards, Values and Transitions developed in 2017-2018 in partnership with Dementia Together NI, Ulster University, Palmerston Residential Home, PAMS Day Care Centre, NHSCT, BHSCT, Age NI, RQIA and Social Care Council Participation Group.
The Values, Behaviours and Person-Centred Practice was developed and published in April 2020.
