Supporting People who are Deaf or have Hearing Loss
Description
The resource aims to help social workers and social care practitioners recognise the types, causes and signs of hearing loss, and learn how to support and communicate more effectively with people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
Background and Credits
This resource has been developed by the Social Care Council in partnership with Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) – National hearing loss charity.
It was developed in 2021 and updated in 2022.
