The Social Care Council is required to produce and publish Standards of Conduct and Practice for Social Care Workers. When you register with the Social Care Council, you agree to work to these Standards of Conduct and Practice.

This learning resource has been designed to provide guidance on the Standards of Conduct and Practice for Social Care Workers.

You can use this resource to learn about the Standards and what this mean in day to day practice. This will help you to understand, know and work to the Standards.

These are relevant for social care workers employed within residential care, nursing care homes, day care, supported living and domiciliary care and have been developed in partnership with the Social Care Council Fitness to Practise team and social care employers.
